CONSTRUCTION and agricultural equipment dealer group Conagri is more than doubling its footprint in the UK with the opening of the first of three new depots.
Just nine months after the redevelopment of its HQ near Exeter in Devon, Conagri will open a depot near Weston Super Mare in Somerset in a collaboration with independent agricultural machinery dealer Michael Burdge Ltd.
Michael Burdge has invested ‘substantially’ in stock in its first venture into construction equipment. With Michael’s son Ed at the helm, the business will deal exclusively with Sunward excavators from a new, purpose-built complex on its own premises.
The locations of the other two new depots will be announced at a later date.
Conagri redeveloped its own HQ last May to offer a two-storey office complex, showroom and workshops, and hosted its first summer ‘Arrive and drive’ events where members of the public and local tradespeople can get up close and personal with Sunward machines.
The group has been Sunward’s dealer for Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset for the past 18 months and with this expansion has added Wiltshire to the stable.
Conagri’s business development manager Andrew Venton said, “This is an exciting time for Conagri, and with Sunward at our side, we are confident the group will go from strength to strength in 2025.”
Ed Burdge added, “We are very excited to be opening this new depot with Conagri and to be venturing into the construction sector with a manufacturer of the standing of Sunward.”
