Positive energy for Liebherr cranes in Scotland

LIEBHERR is anticipating another positive year for cranes in Scotland, thanks in part to a ‘buoyant’ renewable energy sector north of the border.

Lyle Sibbald, sales manager for Scotland and north England, told Project Plant that 2024 was a busy year for mobile cranes, with many loyal customers taking delivery of models throughout the year, as well as some new customers who purchased for the first time.

“It was also a year of celebration as Liebherr marked 75 years of business with events such as factory customer days, Vertikal, and notably, ScotPlant where we exhibited a crane on the Liebherr stand for the very first time,” Lyle added. “Looking ahead, 2025 is set to be another positive year as customer demand for new cranes remains high due to a very buoyant renewable energy sector across Scotland.

“The new year will also see some new products come to the Scottish market such as the recently launched LTM1450-6.1; a brand new six axle crane with Y-guying capability which boasts an enormous increase in lifting capacity. A highlight of 2025 will most certainly be bauma 2025 where we look forward to introducing even more new crane models, but we cannot reveal them just yet!”
