Scot JCB Group has launched its 2025 apprenticeship recruitment programme, which vows to offer ‘unparalleled’ learning and career development opportunities.
The initiative is described as reaffirming the company’s commitment to nurturing skilled engineers and investing in the future of the industry.
The programme invites individuals with a passion for engineering to gain hands-on experience in construction and agricultural machinery. With roles available in Aberdeen, Carlisle, Carnforth, Glasgow, Huntly, and Muir of Ord, Scot JCB explained that apprentices will learn from industry experts, gaining essential skills in servicing and maintenance while developing a comprehensive understanding of complex machinery.
“Our apprenticeship programme is more than a career pathway; it’s an investment in the future of Scot JCB Group and our industries,” said Robin Bryant, joint MD of Scot JCB Group. “By providing an environment where apprentices can learn from experienced engineers and gain qualifications in engineering while attending college, we are not only securing the next generation of skilled talent but also fostering a culture of growth and support.”
The initiative combines college-based training with on-the-job experience, allowing apprentices to work alongside Scot JCB Group’s engineers. Additional training opportunities include forklift operation and first aid certification.
Throughout their apprenticeship, participants will train at Scot JCB Group’s dedicated training centre in Glasgow, gaining nationally recognised qualifications, including NVQ/SVQ certifications in plant maintenance and land-based service engineering.
Rhona Cameron, group HR director, added, “Our apprentices are at the heart of what we do. They join a supportive environment where learning, growth, and camaraderie are part of the daily experience. We are looking for motivated individuals who not only have a mechanical aptitude but also the desire to be part of a team.”
Applications are now open, and details on the recruitment process can be found at www.scot-jcb.com.
