BECKY Daley has been appointed regional sales manager for SANY, covering the north of Scotland.
Becky, who has over 15 years’ experience in construction industry sales and previously worked for Fox Equipment selling LiuGong kit, has high hopes of growing SANY’s presence in the region.
She told Project Plant she has been impressed with the manufacturer’s progress in the Scottish market in recent years and is aiming to expand the company’s reach even further.
“I’ll be covering the north of Scotland – the whole of Aberdeenshire, the Highlands and Islands covering Skye, Stornoway, Shetland and Orkney,” Becky said. “I’m going to be selling the whole product range from mini-diggers up to 75-tonne excavators.
“SANY has a great team and is very well established in Scotland; they’re making big waves. They’ve already got machines into some of the big names in the construction industry and getting really good feedback.”
Becky described the SANY machines as ‘strong, robust, and reliable’ and praised the manufacturer for giving customers operating in the Scottish construction industry a greater variety of equipment to choose from.
“They’re becoming one of the well-known brands in Scotland now,” Becky added. “You’re seeing a lot more SANY machines on sites when you’re out and about. They’re a lot more familiar.”
Becky will be reporting directly to Brian McGrane, senior sales manager at SANY. Brian is based at SANY’s UK headquarters in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire. Becky believes the Coatbridge site – with its dedicated parts warehouse and extensive stock – gives the business an extra edge in the competitive plant industry.
“I was at the Coatbridge office last week for my induction and training,” Becky added. “That’s a really impressive facility. They’ve got a huge stock of SANY parts, which is a good selling point for my customers. I want to help grow the SANY brand and get more machines into my area.”
