Devine Group marks 50 years with £1 million+ fleet investment

Devine Group fleet investment

CIVIL engineering, groundwork, and plant hire company Devine Group has invested over £1 million in a new fleet of plant equipment to boost growth plans.

The group, which is celebrating 50 years in business this year, has taken the move to strengthen operational capabilities and ensure its clients are benefitting from modern and sustainable machines.

The haul includes three nine-tonne Takeuchi TB290-2 excavators, two of which feature two-piece booms – a first for Devine Group. The fleet also now includes three five-tonne Takeuchi TB250-2 diggers and, for the first time, two 8.5-tonne Kubota KX085-5 machines.

The company has also snapped up two 13-tonne Hitachi ZX13OLCN-7 excavators, bringing the total number of these machines in the fleet to 18, and one 21-tonne Hitachi ZX210-7.

The expansion has also involved additions to the dumper fleet, with three nine-tonne JCB cabbed dumpers.

13 new vans have also been added, increasing the total number of vehicles in the Devine fleet to just over 100.

The business is also investing in advanced technology. Currently, 25% of large machines are equipped with Leica Geosystem machine control tech.

Chris Dixon, fleet & plant operations manager at Devine Group, said, “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, this significant investment in our fleet and technology demonstrates our commitment to providing the best possible service to our clients. By modernising our equipment and integrating advanced technology, we are not only enhancing our operational capabilities but also reinforcing our position as a trusted partner for the UK’s leading housebuilders.”
