LOREBURN Housing Association has renewed its commercial vehicle fleet after snapping up 25 new 3.5-tonne vans, supplied for the first time by Fraikin on a five-year full-service contract hire agreement.
The housing association’s repairs and maintenance team will use the vehicles for the day-to-day care of more than 2,500 homes across Dumfries and Galloway.
Fraikin’s contract hire package includes servicing, repairs, road fund licensing, regular safety inspections, annual MOT testing, tyre management, roadside assistance, and 24/7 customer service support.
The vehicles are equipped with Fraikin’s MYSMARTFLEET platform, which offers data-driven driver behaviour analysis and safety features such as instant crash alerts. Additional compliance support features include digital tachograph downloads and walkaround checks.
Loreburn Housing Association can also access Fraikin’s online web portal, FRAIKinVIEW, which provides an overview of scheduled maintenance work and the ability to track and monitor progress.
Billy Coupland, head of repairs & maintenance, Loreburn Housing Association, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Fraikin for the first time on this latest vehicle order. The team’s expertise, industry understanding and commitment to customer service made them the ideal choice for us. The new vans will significantly enhance our operational efficiency, helping us to continue providing excellent support to all our valued tenants.”
John Cooper, business development manager at Fraikin, added, “It is a pleasure to welcome Loreburn Housing Association into the Fraikin fold as a new customer. As part of the tender process, we worked closely with their team to ensure that we were able to meet their very specific requirements. We look forward to a long and productive partnership and are committed to supporting their fleet needs with our innovative mobility solutions.”
