ATTACHMENTS specialist Miller UK will launch four of its most popular heavy duty buckets at Hillhead 2024, which have been branded with the Lighthouse Construction Charity’s #makeitvisible initiative.
The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity provides support to construction workers and their families. The charity’s Make It Visible taskforce helps ensure welfare and wellbeing support in the industry is visible and accessible.
To raise awareness, Miller has branded its buckets with the charity’s logo, its #MakeItVisible slogan, and its bright colours.
The buckets will be sited around Hillhead, on Miller’s stand itself, as well as on customers stands including CASE Construction, SMT GB and Hitachi Construction Machinery UK. For any bucket sold at the show, all profits will be donated by Miller to the charity.
The company has also developed a range of mini model buckets – also branded with the Lighthouse Charity – that will be available to buy at the show and online, with 100% of all proceeds being donated. There will also be a scavenger hunt of mini buckets around the quarry with visitors invited to find as many buckets as they can to enter a prize draw for the chance to win tickets to the charity’s annual ball, donated by Miller.
Barry Robison, group sales and commercial director at Miller, said, “The Lighthouse Charity is vital in our industry, and, to show our support and help raise as much awareness as we can of the great work the charity does and resources that are available, we have chosen to unveil our buckets at this year’s Hillhead.
“The show provides a fantastic arena to reach out to a huge amount of people in the industry – and at all levels – which is very important. We hope to raise a lot of money for the charity with our latest initiatives and continue to give back in our community. We would like to thank all the companies who have supported our efforts with having the buckets on their stands.”
The Lighthouse Charity delivers services including a free and confidential 24/7 helpline, text support service, live online chat help, and a Wellbeing Academy offering free wellbeing training for the industry.
Miller will be showcasing products from its full product portfolio at Hillhead, including its GT series quick couplers, extreme rock buckets, and a bucket that has been almost 100% robot welded and left unfinished for visitors to see the true quality of weld on Miller’s bucket range.
