LIEBHERR will arrive at ScotPlant in celebratory mood as it continues to mark its 75th anniversary, bringing with it a line-up that will showcase the company’s range of equipment for the earthmoving, materials handling and crane sectors.
The German manufacturing giant will feature – for the first time at ScotPlant – one of its telescopic mobile cranes, a 50-tonne LTM 1050 in the livery of Edinburgh hirer Bernard Hunter, a Liebherr customer for nearly 30 years.
Machines representing the earthmoving portfolio will include a PR 726 dozer equipped with six-way blade; an R 924 tracked excavator in the colours of Aberdeenshire contractor Alan Whiteford Contracts and sporting a Hill Tefra coupler and GP bucket; and an A 913 compact wheeled excavator with Steelwrist tiltrotator.
Liebherr’s extensive wheeled loader range will be highlighted by an L 550 XPower in Z bar configuration complete with GP bucket.
An LH 24 wheeled model owned by Dundee-based Patersons Skip Hire & Recycling will fly the flag for the materials handling range alongside a T55-7 telehandler kitted out with a 2.5m3 Ulrich clamp bucket.
Completing the line-up and returning to ScotPlant after making its UK debut at the show in 2022 will be the company’s award-winning TA 230 dump truck.
Diamond anniversary
In 1949 in the Upper Swabia region of Germany, master builder Hans Liebherr invented the tower crane. It was the beginning for what would become a global organisation with a turnover of more than €12 billion (2022) and operating across 13 divisions. It remains 100% owned by the Liebherr family.
