Make it a double: Forsyth of Denny takes delivery of new mobile cranes

FORSYTH of Denny has taken delivery of two new Liebherr cranes in the form of the LTM 1060-3.1 and LTM 1090-4.2.

These are the initial two units in a five-crane package scheduled to be delivered throughout 2024.

The smaller of the two units, the three-axle crane, is configured with a six-section 48 metre main boom. The crane can carry all of its 12.8-tonnes of counterweight.

The second unit, the four-axle LTM 1090-4.2, boasts a seven-section 60 metre main boom. The 90-tonne crane can carry all of its 22.5-tonnes of counterweight and is fitted with Liebherr VarioBallast, the adjustable ballast system designed to deliver greater flexibility, as standard.

Mark Syme, director of Forsyth of Denny, said, “We are delighted to see the first cranes of our 2024 investments join our fleet and go straight into work in infrastructure and renewable projects across Scotland. We want to ensure we are providing our customers with the best equipment possible and that’s why we continue to invest in Liebherr cranes.”
