Manitou Group creates new roles within executive committee

Hervé Rochet

MANITOU Group has created two new roles within its executive committee, with Hervé Rochet and Céline Brard being appointed chief transformation & governance officer and chief financial officer, respectively.

Over the past five years, the group has seen significant growth in sales and headcount. Manitou explained this ‘dynamic performance’ has been achieved in a world of ‘perpetual change’, where environmental, social, digital and human issues are now paramount. To meet these challenges while continuing its transformation, the business has opted to reorganise its executive committee.

Hervé Rochet, who has held the position of corporate secretary – CFO of the group since 2014, has been appointed chief transformation & governance officer. The role is intended to enable the group to accelerate transformation and address digital, human and reputational challenges while ensuring the integrity of its governance framework.

Céline Brard becomes chief financial officer. Her role will be to position the finance function as a ‘priority lever’ in the development of ‘profitable and sustainable’ growth. Manitou said Céline Brard has spent her career in highly competitive environments, notably with KPMG for nine years and Valeo for over 24 years. During her time at Valeo, Céline had financial responsibility for several geographical zones around the world.

Michel Denis, president & CEO of Manitou Group, said, “With the strong growth our group has experienced in recent years, and the ever-increasing challenges of sustainability, I have decided to adapt the organisation of our executive committee to best support our business.

“This change responds to two needs identified by Manitou Group. Firstly, to strengthen the strategic and financial management of our business in order to structure and support our growth efficiently; and secondly, to accelerate our transformation and that of our stakeholders by anticipating and supporting the changes and needs of our society. This is how we will continue to set the world in motion.”
