127-machine Scot JCB deal marks ‘monumental milestone’ for Eagle Hire

SCOT JCB has supplied Eagle Hire with a new fleet of JCB machinery ranging from dumpsters to midi-excavators in a £4 million deal.

The order for 127 machines, all equipped with the latest stage V engines, has been described as making a ‘monumental milestone’ in Eagle’s journey.

Established in 1990, Eagle Hire is a one-stop destination for utility contractors, housebuilders, ground contractors, shop-fitting and general contractors across Scotland.

Iain MacDonald, sales director at Eagle Hire, said, “We chose to invest with Scot JCB as it not only allowed us to tap into a range of machinery we didn’t previously have access to, but they are known for their transparency and unwavering commitment to putting the customer first, values that resonate very deeply with us.”

Amidst the new fleet of mini and midi-excavators, Eagle Hire has also added JCB six-tonne dumpers and CT160-80 and CT260-120 tandem rollers to offer customers a wider range of hire options.

Plant director John Monaghan added, “The JCB products have a great reputation, they are good machines and I’m sure they will help us to keep our business growing, they are already starting to go out to customers and the feedback has been positive so far.”

Scot JCB key account manager, Colin Buchanan and JCB Finance’s territory manager David Dodds provided ‘pivotal’ roles in the deal. Commercial director John Cummings said, “Colin and David made the whole experience quick and simple – JCB Finance is a true asset to Scot JCB.”

Iain Bryant, joint MD at Scot JCB, stated, “Working with Eagle Hire is very important to Scot JCB, we see this as a start of a long-lasting relationship, and we look forward to working with them over the coming years as we both build and grow our businesses.”
