Rokbak trucks deliver ‘pleasant and smooth’ ride for French public works specialist

TWO Rokbak haulers have been transporting earth, rubble and construction materials in France for 18 months, supporting Ferrand TP on a variety of public works jobs.

Deployed for up to eight hours a day, Ferrand TP’s two Rokbak RA30 trucks are tasked with moving earth and construction materials.

For more than 20 years, the family-owned public works company has been carrying out earthworks and network installations in and around south east France. Ferrand TP serves a variety of customers, including construction companies, public works departments and individual contractors.

“We generally work on earthworks projects intended for housing and buildings,” said Remy Ferrand, one of the directors at Ferrand TP, alongside his brother David. “Our RA30 ADTs go everywhere – whether that be in dry, wet, muddy or uneven conditions.

“They are simple to operate, robust and very effective at getting the job done. With the Haul Track telematics system we have easy access to data such as how many times the body has been lifted, so we know how much material has been transported.”

Haul Track helps customers manage operating costs by monitoring fuel consumption and potential issues that, if neglected, could lead to downtime. It highlights information such as machine location, sub-optimal travel speed, dump counts, load cycles, temperatures and pressures.

Owners can monitor the health of a variety of machine systems via diagnostic and preventative maintenance data. They can also view critical information whenever system fault codes are triggered.

“The RA30 delivers a pleasant and smooth ride,” Remy added. “It is a powerful and stable truck to operate. Rokbak is a brand that keeps it promises and it continues to develop the trucks.”

Griset Matériel, a Rokbak dealer specialising in the sale, after-sales service, and repair of machinery for the Rhône-Alpes region in France, sold the two Rokbak units to Ferrand TP. The RA30s were delivered in January 2022, just five months after the Rokbak launch.

“The visuals and new colours of the Rokbak brand give the trucks a distinctive, powerful appearance that has proven popular,” said Griset Matériel, general director Roland Griset. “Ferrand TP has been using the trucks for 18 months now and the team there are very pleased with the quality and the reliability of the machines, as well as the new look of the Rokbak brand.”
