New innovations take centre stage at Molson open day event

MOLSON Group has hailed the success of its latest open day, where visitors from across the country revelled in the opportunity to check out the company’s vast machinery portfolio at its nine-acre Avonmouth HQ.

The latest models from a range of manufacturers including Rokbak, Hyundai, Kobelco, Terex Finlay, MB, Husqvarna, and Sennebogen were on display during the three-day event, which highlighted Molson’s ‘single source supply’ offering.

The event followed the success of the inaugural Molson open day back in 2021, with the aim being to provide an informal setting for customers and potential customers to learn more about the latest technological solutions and sustainable developments.

Project Plant was invited to the press day, which included a guided tour of the site which has benefited from a circa £3 million investment – including a new purpose built service centre – and a presentation on fleet management platform fleetCMD. There was also a site visit to the Port of Bristol to see a mightily impressive Sennebogen 870E port handler in action.

James Dodkins, Molson Group marketing manager, said, “We were delighted with the event and are grateful for all the guests’ efforts to attend, not least all that travelled from Scotland to join us. We opened the doors to ‘our house’ to give guests a complete experience that started with the warmest of welcomes and some of the best street food.

“From there, we showcased the investment in our infrastructure that all our UK customers benefit from and the breadth and depth of our comprehensive product range. But for me, it was our innovation that caught the attention of most, from a decarbonisation area that featured a battery-powered 26 tonne excavator that can go from almost zero charge to full in less than 10 minutes, through to digital innovation such as the launch of the ground-breaking fleet management and telematics platform, fleetCMD.

“It has to be said that this would not have happened without the hard work of our dedicated team and can’t wait to do it all again in 2025.”
