HCME becomes a member of the European Demolition Association

HITACHI Construction Machinery (Europe) NV has become a member of the European Demolition Association (EDA).

As a manufacturer of special application excavators designed specifically for the demolition sector, HCME said it is committed to delivering ‘reliable customer-centric solutions’.

Based on standard models, Hitachi demolition machines are said to boast several options to add strength and durability for working in challenging environments, and increased safety for operators in the cab.

Fitted with mono, two or three-piece booms, they can reach up to 40m. The manufacturer also introduced specially reinforced multi-carrier models for demolition projects at bauma last year, including the and ZX600MC-7.

HCME president Takaharu Ikeda said, “We look forward to collaborating with other members of the EDA, sharing our expertise and exchanging information to improve working conditions, standards and training within the dynamic demolition industry.

“By sharing knowledge and expertise, we can continually improve our equipment for the benefit of contractors and operators, ensuring it reaches the highest levels of safety, efficiency and reliability.”
