BOSS Cabins is celebrating after its GenFree range claimed the Product Innovation of the Year accolade at the 2023 Ground Engineering Awards.
Following a review by expert judges, including a face-to-face presentation and Q&A session to a select panel of experts, the range was honoured for the benefits it can bring in helping to move the welfare industry from one dominated by diesel generators to one where renewable energy is the main source of power.
Sustainability factors built into the cabins include rain harvesting and water recycling.
Extendable solar panels and vertical wall panels allow the units to operate entirely on solar power, even in winter, without the need for backup generators.
