Rental specialist snaps up 181 micro scissor lifts

CRAMO Group, a division of Boels Rental, has taken delivery of 181 Genie GS-1932m micro scissor lifts.

The move is designed to meet demand for equipment for use in warehouses and data centres throughout six European countries covered by Cramo’s services.

The GS-1932m is 1.4m-long and 0.81m-wide, which makes it ‘ideal’ for work in narrow aisles and tight spaces. The compact design also allows it to drive through a standard doorway with fixed guardrails.

Weighing just 1,179kg, the GS-1932m also is light enough for a standard elevator, and allows the machine to work on ‘sensitive’ flooring that couldn’t accommodate the weight of a standard-sized scissor lift.

“We chose Genie GS-1932m micro scissors for their light weight and ultra-compact design,” said Jacobo Campos, senior category manager for Cramo Group. “We’re sure our customers will appreciate the addition of these new machines to our diverse existing line-up.”

The model features front wheel drive with a zero inside turning radius. Platform capacity of 227kg is said to deliver the productivity benefits of a scissor lift in a compact footprint.

Powering Genie micro scissors are brushless AC electric drive motors.
