Plantworx operational team donates essential items to community organisation

THE Plantworx operational team has made a donation of essential household items to Care Zone in Peterborough, in a show of commitment to social responsibility and community solidarity.

The donation comprised a set of bedroom supplies used by the team during the course of its on-site work. This included 14 single mattresses, 14 pillows, 14 single mattress sets, 14 mattress covers, and 14 duvets, all of which were used during the three-week build-up and breakdown phase of the Plantworx exhibition, which took place at the East of England Arena.

Care Zone operates a warehouse of donated good-quality furniture, clothing, toys, and household items and redistributes them, free of charge, to those in need in the local community.

Stuart Favill, operations manager at Plantworx, played a significant role in arranging the donation. He said, “At Plantworx, we believe in a holistic approach to our operations, which extends beyond our primary work, to include the wellbeing of the communities. This donation serves as a testament to our commitment to those less fortunate within our local community. It’s our way of giving back and expressing our gratitude to the people of Peterborough, who have always been supportive of us, while we have been onsite.”
