Morris Leslie expands depot network with hire firm acquisition

This announcement comes just two weeks after news of Morris Leslie’s record-breaking JCB order for almost £90 million.

MORRIS Leslie Plant Hire has completed the acquisition of Harborough Hire Centre, based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

The sale, for an undisclosed sum, sees Morris Leslie Plant Hire increase its depot network to 15, providing plant hire services from the Scottish Highlands to the south coast of England.

The purchase increases Morris Leslie’s plant hire fleet by over 300 machines.

Graham Ogilvie, MD for Morris Leslie Plant Hire, said, “We are delighted to have concluded the purchase of the long-established and well-respected hire business which has been built up and grown by John and team at Harborough Hire Centre. This strategic purchase will allow us to expand our offering in the Leicestershire and East Midlands area.”

The sale sees all of Harborough Hire Centre staff being retained and joining the Morris Leslie Plant Hire business.

Graham added, “While the name may be changing, Harborough Hire customers can be sure that they will continue to receive the same first class service from the same great team.”

This announcement comes just two weeks after the news of Morris Leslie’s record-breaking JCB order for almost £90 million to support the firm’s 2023 growth plans.
