Sunbelt Rentals adds eco welder generators to UK offering

SUNBELT Rentals UK and Ireland has teamed up with Shindaiwa to introduce the first 100 Eco Hybrid welder generators to its industrial business.

The new generators will be introduced across the depot network on refineries, chemical plants and steelworks in the UK.

The investment supports the hire giant’s commitment to provide the ‘greenest fleet’ of rental equipment and lead positive change across the industry.

The 300amp Shindaiwa Eco Hybrid welder generator are said to save customers up to 60% in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to previous eco models. Features include auto stop/start, ultra-quiet technology and a capacitor that works alongside the Stage V diesel engine. Units will be supplied with a Chalwyn valve and spark arrestor fitted to ensure they meet safety requirements of COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) sites.
