Equipment supplier makes charitable donation this festive season

THE MHM Group recently reported a surge in demand for solar products

The MHM Group, a supplier of solar powered site lighting solutions, has donated to the Trussell Trust, a charity dedicated to tackling hunger and poverty, this festive season.

The Trussell Trust recorded an increase in the number of people seeking help between April and September this year, with 320,000 people turning to the charity’s foodbanks.

By donating electronically to the Trussell Trust, MHM Group revealed it is also supporting its eco initiative and reducing its carbon footprint, rather than sending packages across the UK to clients.

Brad Ireland, group sales director for MHH, explained, “We are proud to support an amazing charity that relies on the generosity of so many people. The Trussell Trust is doing such great work and supporting many across the country in a time of economic uncertainty. But donating money to charity is not the only way to give back, and everyone at MHM is invested in doing more in the coming year to support our local organisations and charities that rely on good will and the investment of time.

“It’s also been on the top of our agenda to make conscious environmental decisions this year, and so by foregoing Christmas gifts for clients that need transportation and packaging, we hope that donating that money to foodbanks will save on energy and be an altogether more sustainable choice.

“Into the next year, the MHM Group continues to make advancements with its green initiatives and will supply clients with high-quality solar powered and diesel-free solutions. The eco initiative will support the team’s efforts to ensure that both our new equipment for sale and our hire fleet becomes yet more sustainable, and means that we can offer greater solutions to the hire and construction sectors for eliminating harmful carbon emissions.”
