SUNBELT Rentals has won the Green Supplier and Innovation Award at the Showman’s Show, which took place recently at Newbury Showground.
The accolade recognises the sustainable solutions and positive changes exhibitors are making to their businesses, products and services.
Sunbelt Rentals explained that environmental considerations are central within the firm’s procurement policy, with 50% of the new rental equipment purchased over the last 12 months classed as sustainable.
The company’s solutions have helped deliver carbon neutral events such as the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow last year and the G7 summit in Carbis Bay.
The firm has a 10-year sustainability strategy called ‘Towards a low carbon and sustainable future’ and an action plan called ‘Our Planet’, described as a blueprint for a greener future.
