HYUNDAI has confirmed it will update its mini and midi-excavator offering at bauma 2022 with the launch of a range of EU Stage V machines.
Boasting operating weights of 1.7 to 5.5-tonnes, the manufacturer said the A Series models will deliver ‘lower emissions, increased hydraulic capabilities and improved operator comfort’.
Features include a load-sensing hydraulic system for models over four tonnes; proportional joystick controls as standard, along with quick-coupler piping and safety valves on boom, arm and dozer blade cylinders; and a ‘large, quiet’ cab, tilting on models above 3.5-tonnes.
Hyundai revealed it will introduce a range of eight machines, of which four will be shown at bauma. They will complete Hyundai’s range of 11 compact excavators, from the smallest 1.0-tonne HX10A micro, through to the HX85A, which competes in the 9-10 tonne segment when equipped with a two-piece boom.
As part of the new range, the HX35A Z, HX40A and the HX48A Z have been recognised as winners of the Red Dot Design Award, from Design Zentrum Nordhein Westfalen in Germany. Centred around the Tiger Eye lighting theme at the rear of the machines,Hyundai added that the excavators have also been praised for their eco-friendly features and ease of operation.
