AN Ellon-based provider of mechanical handling equipment training has announced two internal promotions.
Bon Accord Training revealed that technical director Iain Sanderson has been promoted to operations director, while senior instructor John Beattie has taken on the role of senior technical instructor.
Carol Gray, director and training manager, said, “With 62 years of experience between them, and 41 of those with Bon Accord Training, Iain and John are a huge asset to the firm, having consistently brought dedication and professionalism to our training programmes over the years.
“Iain will now take more of a hands-on role in the operations of the business, leaving John to focus on delivering training as well as reviewing standards, staff development, and mentoring and assessing instructors for quality purposes. I’m delighted to see them both move up the ranks and would like to congratulate them on their transition into these roles, where their wide-ranging skills and expertise will continue to add value for our growing customer base.”
The company’s training & digital content administrator, Claire Curran, is also celebrating, having recently passed her B1 counterbalance forklift course. She joined the company in November through the government Kickstart Scheme and has chosen to stay on at Bon Accord Training.
Claire said, “Achieving my forklift certificate has proved a real boost to my confidence, opening my eyes to what I’m capable of. I was delighted to be offered a permanent position at Bon Accord Training – the opportunity has given me a fantastic start in the world of work and I feel lucky to say I really enjoy my job and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.”
Established in 1986, the nine-strong Bon Accord Training team includes instructors who deliver training in a range of mechanical handling equipment including counterbalance forklift, multi-directional steer, and overhead crane.
