SPOA’s summer barbecue returns for 2022

THE Scottish Plant Owners Association’s (SPOA) president’s summer barbecue is to return to Edinburgh this August.

It follows the successful launch of the event in 2021, with everyone from industry stalwarts to apprentices – SPOA members or not – invited to attend the event at the Glasshouse Hotel in Edinburgh on August 19 at 18:30.

SPOA president Callum Mackintosh is the host for the evening, with entertainment provided by Scottish band, Trail West. Being held on the hotel’s two-acre rooftop garden, attendees will enjoy a barbecue and drinks into the early hours with industry colleagues from across the country.

Callum Mackintosh said, “Our inaugural Summer Barbecue was a massive success last year, providing an opportunity for our plant community to meet, network and just enjoy some downtime. I can’t wait to do it all over again, this time even bigger and better!

“The event is expected to be a sell-out, so I’d encourage everyone in the plant industry to get their tickets and join us for a fantastic evening.”

Tickets cost £50 with 50% of any surplus raised to be donated to SPOA’s charity, the Aitken White Trust which supports education within the industry. Tickets can be bought by clicking here.
