HYUNDAI Construction Equipment Europe has revealed that the new 48-tonne HX480AL crawler excavator will take centre stage at Hillhead this year.
The machine, which will be at work in the demonstration area, is powered by a Stage V Cummins engine.
Hyundai said the machine boasts the ‘highest engine power and hydraulic flow on the market’. The model’s increased pump size enables it to work at lower rpm for greater fuel efficiency and there is no EGR valve requirement.
4-way proportional piping is available with hydraulic pressure and flow customisable on the cluster while the stacked cooling system delivers improved cooling capacity. A reversible fan for automatic cleaning is a further feature.
Showcased on Hyundai’s stand will be a series of further products the manufacturer’s heavy-duty wheeled loader, wheeled excavator and crawler excavator ranges – including the latest A Series models.
