ScotPlant 2022 countdown: Rokbak set to enjoy home comforts

MOTHERWELL-based manufacturer Rokbak is gearing up for ScotPlant 2022 with plans to showcase its RA30 and RA40 articulated haulers on home turf.

The firm will join its UK dealer Molson Group when the exhibition opens its doors on April 22 & 23 at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston.

The RA30 will be on display at the Molson Group stand, Avenue E/8, while the RA40 will be close by at Avenue D/18. Visitors will be able to get up close to both machines and speak to experts about the products.

The 38-tonne RA40 is a heavy-duty articulated hauler that specialises in large-scale quarry, mine and construction jobs. Described as offering ‘high capacity and performance’, the RA40 boasts a modulating transmission retarder coupled with an ‘efficient’ exhaust brake and fully enclosed oil-cooled multi-disc brakes for total control – even on steep inclines.

The 28-tonne RA30 is a feature on sites ranging from quarries and infrastructure developments to commercial construction projects. With independent front suspension as standard, the products is said to offer more control and comfort for operators. The RA30’s new transmission and engine improve fuel efficiency.

For the European market, both machines feature the latest EU Stage V emissions-compliant engine, boasting up to a 7% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to older EU Stage IV engines.

“Our haulers are shipped globally but they are designed and built in Scotland, so we’re excited to be exhibiting once again at the country’s leading construction show,” said Paul Douglas, MD of Rokbak. “Scotland is known for the quality of its engineering and the RA30 and RA40 are built on decades of engineering experience. We are looking forward to meeting existing and future customers alongside our trusted partner the Molson Group. The Molson Group is a very experienced dealer and I’m proud to have them by our side.”

The Molson Group became a Rokbak dealer towards the end of 2019.

“We will have our biggest ever stand at this year’s ScotPlant,” commented Mark Proudfoot, director for Molson Scotland. “We’re excited for our customers to see the Rokbak articulated haulers as part of our 360-degree product offering. The Molson Group is committed to delivering the best products to our customers as well as fantastic service and support.”
