CASE Construction Equipment has offered the first glimpse of its expanded mini-excavator offering.
The CNH Industrial Capital Markets Day event, held in Miami Beach, Florida, was the destination for the debut of the CASE CX15 EV, an electric mini-digger with plans for the European market in 2023.
The CX15 EV is a 1.3t machine powered by a 16 kW electric motor. The model features retractable tracks capable of reducing machine width to 790mm to assist with going through doors and working in confined spaces.
The machine can also work close to structures and obstacles with a minimum swing radius design, CASE added. Depending on the type of work, the CX15 EV will provide enough power to work through an eight-hour work day.
“From reduced emissions to noise reduction and lower lifetime fuel and maintenance costs, the CASE CX15 EV will be a powerful, efficient and sustainable addition to our mini-excavator line-up,” said Egidio Galano, head of construction equipment product management — Europe, CASE. “This machine is the next step in our electrification journey — and we are committed to bringing the industry a complementary portfolio of diesel and electric equipment to meet the needs of the broadest range of applications and operations.”
