HITACHI Construction Machinery (UK) has appointed Iain McDowall as product support manager for Scotland.
He has worked within the plant hire sector for a decade and has held similar managerial roles at other companies. Hitachi described him as ‘highly experienced’ in customer service, heavy plant machinery, and the operational and planning logistics of field service engineers.
Iain said, “I am absolutely delighted to be joining Hitachi. I regard them as a market leader in construction machinery who are renowned for providing top-quality, reliable machines. I do believe that this is the perfect time to be joining Hitachi due to the potential for growth within the Scotland area.”

Bringing a wealth of customer support experience in Scotland with him and a background in plant maintenance, I’m confident that Iain will quickly establish himself and be a success in his new role.”
