GAP Hire Solutions has added to its green credentials by fitting the CESAR ECV Scheme to all new ride on plant purchased from October 2020.
ECV (Emissions Compliance Verification) is a system designed to make it easier to identify the emission stage of a machine. The colour coded labels provide a quick reference point, with a QR code that can be scanned to bring up a database of machine information. This allows site managers to ensure they are meeting emission standards on their developments.
Site staff often rely on plant hire companies to provide information on a machine before work begins. Without ECV, GAP revealed this is difficult to keep track of throughout a project.
GAP has a goal of becoming net zero by 2040, and is also committed to helping its customers reduce their environmental impact as well.
