Versalift UK appoints new service manager

VERSALIFT UK has confirmed the appointment of Derek Murdoch as service manager, where he will be tasked with overseeing all service and aftersales activities.

He brings over 35 years of service experience to the role, including stints at Alimak Hek Group, Wayne Fueling Systems and SPX Flow.

After a short spell at Gilgen Door Systems as service director, Murdoch went self-employed last year as an engineering aftersales consultant, offering advice and solutions to engineering aftersales or field service departments.

“I am delighted to be joining the VUK family as service manager,” he said. “I’ve joined a great team and a premium brand at Versalift and I am confident I can bring my experience to the role and look forward to making a positive impact.”

Product support manager Neil Ashton added, “We are delighted to welcome Derek to the team at what is an exciting time of growth for Versalift UK. With his extensive knowledge, he is the right person to head up our aftersales activities. I am confident he will slot straight into our business, a key contributing factor we were looking for with his appointment. I know he is keen to hit the ground running so wish him well in his new role.”
