GAP Group has announced it has teamed up with SITECH UK & Ireland to form a ‘unique’ partnership in the survey industry.
The survey & safety division at GAP has 14 depots offering repair and calibration services across the UK. This division has recently formed a new technical services unit which will initially offer machine control services and later move into HD scanner and monitoring solutions.
GAP explained that modern projects increasingly require contractors to be able to flexibly handle information and data between the site and office with ‘fast accessibility and a smooth data transfer’. GAP added that it has noticed a ‘definite upturn’ in demand for machine control products.
GAP and SITECH’s solution offers customers hire, support and service on the Trimble machine control product range. This partnership makes GAP the first authorised rental partner for SITECH throughout the UK.
Jim Burke, GAP’s head of survey technical services, said, “SITECH’s technical experience and expertise are complemented by first-class support, service and training. With a wide range of industry knowledge and a passion for excellence, which falls in line with GAP’s principles, SITECH have built a reputation for delivering the best and most reliable technology solutions. GAP is thrilled to be partnered with SITECH allowing us to provide this complete service to our customers.”
David Kirkpatrick, strategic sales & partnerships manager at SITECH UK & Ireland, added, “We have been working with GAP Group for a number of years, and their professionalism and drive for progression meant it was a natural progression for them to become an Authorised Rental Partner with SITECH UK & Ireland. We are confident that the technical services unit will deliver the Trimble machine control in the same way we would ourselves. We are looking forward to developing our relationship with Jim and his team over the coming years.”
