TAKEUCHI has launched the new six tonne TB257FR, combining side-to-side (STS) offset boom with the near zero tail swing.
The option joins the eight tonne TB280FR in the manufacturer’s portfolio.
Takeuchi said the FR machines are popular with operators who appreciate the ‘unique’ offset for certain groundworks jobs. The FR offset can parallel trench right up to walls while the short tail grants access in tight spaces. The floor-mounted pedal allows operators to position the STS offset boom anywhere across the front of the machine without any reduction in dig depth or ground reach.
The TB257FR can rotate fully when the boom is stowed in the full upright position, with the upper structure and cab only exceeding the track footprint by centimetres.
Weighing 6,100kg and boasting 39kW power output and 36kN of digging force, the model has a dig depth of 3,895mm, dump height of 3,890mm and ground reach of 6,080mm.
Features include all-round LED lighting, lifting check valves, hydraulic hitch pipework and adjustable auxiliary flows from the cab and auto fuel pump as standard. All Takeuchi machines now come Stage V-ready as standard.
