SCG Supplies, the Scottish dealer for Portafill International, has introduced the manufacturer’s new tracked cone crusher to the market.
The MC-8 is described as boasting a number of unique features. Containing hydraulic dump and adjustment as well as adjustable gyration stroke, on-site set up time can be as little as five minutes.
The unit weighs less than 24 tonnes, with fuel consumption said to be typically under 20 litres per hour, courtesy of the Volvo D5 stage V power plant. The cone is fully protected by hopper-mounted metal detection.
SCG explained the machine has been put through ‘exhaustive’ product testing on a variety of applications over the last two years, including materials such as river gravel, hard rock and even recycled hardcore.
The MC-8 is designed to provide a secondary solution for crushing contractors and quarrying companies producing sub-base and single sizes.
