TRUCK provider MV Commercial revealed it has supplied Bo’ness-based Rockbreakers with a new MAN TGM 18.290 flatbed vehicle.
The truck features a 26ft flatbed body fabricated by the MV Commercial team, featuring a one metre high alloy storage box stretching the whole width of the vehicle below the bulkhead. This is enclosed with lightweight alloy roller shutters on each side.
Rockbreakers will use the vehicle to transport hydraulic breakers and demolition and forestry attachments.
Jason Easton, MD at Rockbreakers, said, “Quoted delivery times from other suppliers and manufacturers were stretching into next year, so we were delighted when MV Commercial promised to deliver in just six weeks. The service they provided was second-to-none. They made the buying process quick and easy, and supplied us with a great looking new vehicle.
“Our vehicles are out on the road five days a week, working on tough sites so we need to make sure we have robust assets that will get the job done and stand the test of time. MV Commercial was able to give us this confidence.”
The 18-tonne 4×2 rigid has also been specified with a drop-down style Kelsa HiBar featuring LED beacons and spot lamps, together with a fall arrest system and a rear plastic toolbox for additional stowage.
Rockbreakers has now placed an order for a 3.5-tonne Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with dropside bodywork. Both vehicles have been finished in the firm’s black livery, with bold yellow and white sign writing.
