FINNING has made a final call for budding engineers to apply for a place on its 2020 apprentice programme.
There are just two weeks left to apply, with at least 14 apprenticeships on offer across the UK and Ireland to work in Finning’s equipment and power solutions divisions or with its technology partner firm, Sitech.
The deadline for applications is Friday 28 February. Finning revealed that the recruitment process will last between three and six months, with successful candidates starting their new roles in September.
Applicants must have at least four GCSEs at grade C or above, including English, maths and a science subject.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an apprentice day at a training centre, where they will complete a series of practical activities, team exercises and a career discussion. Those who impress will be invited to complete a period of work experience in one of Finning’s regional branches. Successful candidates will be offered a four-year apprenticeship.
Lisa Craddock, Finning recruitment manager said, “Becoming an apprentice is one of the best ways to get a foot on the career ladder. The Finning apprentice scheme is one of the most immersive available in the construction, energy and transportation sector today.
“It’s a really good way to start your career at Finning. We have managers across the company and even members of the Finning executive team who began their careers as an apprentice on this programme, which demonstrates how much we like to invest in and nurture home-grown talent.”
