‘Powerful yet compact’ Takeuchi launched

TAKEUCHI has added the 9-tonne TB290-2 Stage V compliant excavator to its range.

Described as a ‘powerful yet compact’ model for its weight class, the machine is said to boast ‘significantly’ more bucket and boom arm breakout force compared to earlier models including the TB285 and TB175.

The standard long arm provides a ground level reach of 7290mm and digging depth of 4580mm.

Takeuchi explained that dual boom cylinders with hose burst check valve provide aadded lifting power and additional clearance for bucket and attachments.

The TB290-2 also comes with all round LED lighting and factory fitted hitch pipework as standard.

Takeuchi added that the model features a shorter than average tail swing compared to conventional 9-tonne excavators.  A heavy duty dozer (500mm high) with increased operating range also comes as standard. Other features include a larger cab with roof guard, ROPS/FOPS, improved visibility and easier operator accessibility. There is also automatic air conditioning, MP3 socket, adjustable high back suspension seat and adjustable arm rests.
