DOOSAN’S 25-tonne DX250WMH-5 has been designed specifically for a range of material sorting and handling applications, including those in the scrap metal and other solid waste and recycling industries.
The Stage IV compliant material handler is based on the manufacturer’s DX210W-5 21-tonne wheeled excavator.
The model features front and rear stabilisers, and a boom and arm designed for material handling tasks. While the hydraulic cab riser is said to give operators better all-around visibility of the attachment and work area.
The DX250WMH-5 is equipped with two-way auxiliary and rotate circuit hydraulics, with the operator able to use buttons on the joysticks or an optional foot pedal to control auxiliary attachments.
The machine is powered by a six-cylinder, turbocharged Doosan DL06PA water-cooled diesel engine.
The Doosan-developed system, Smart Power Control (SPC), is described as improving machine efficiency while maintaining productivity through variable speed control and pump torque control, automatically adjusting RPMs according to the load being handled.
The SPC can be used with all four available work modes.
An optional generator is available as a turnkey solution without the need for additional modification, while an optional V-guard protects the machine sides and components behind the doors.
