THE first Case excavator sold in Europe with the new Stage V engine has gone to Civil & Construction Solutions.
The machine, a CX90D, was sold by dealer Dennis Barnfield, with the excavator’s first project a housing development site in Cheshire.
Phil Barnes, MD at Civils & Construction Solutions said, “Having used Case machines for 27 years, we were delighted to add the CX90D to our fleet – our fourth brand new machine in the last 12 months.”
Kevin Johnson, area sales manager at Dennis Barnfield added, “To be able to offer a customer a European first is always a great feeling. We are thrilled with how smooth the sale and delivery were, and we are delighted the machine is already in action on a jobsite.”
The introduction of Stage V engines across Case’s European range has been driven by the new EU emissions standards.
“The Yanmar Stage V engine used in the CX90D is the most powerful in the segment,” explained Sandro Vitale, product director, general construction, Case Construction Equipment Europe. “As well as meeting the legislation requirements, we also deliver 20% more power with a 4.5% decrease in fuel usage.
“What this means is that we can offer our customers Stage V without a compromise, retaining our legacy of providing real-world solutions.”
