ORGANISERS of the rain-soaked Plantworx 2019 exhibition have revealed the show was a ‘great success’ despite yet again being cursed with unseasonably bad weather.
The 4th biennial Plantworx show, which incorporated Railworx for the first time, was 20% larger than the 2017 event and featured more than 450 exhibitors, making the event the biggest Plantworx to date.
While final numbers are still to be verified, footfall exceeded 13,700 over the three days, with many thankful for the respite from the rain for most of day two.
The new venue at the East of England Arena in Peterborough was also described as a ‘big hit’ with visitors and exhibitors, with the Plantworx team revealing they had received a host of positive comments.
The final day of the show was dedicated to children to encourage more youngsters into consider careers in the construction equipment sector. Despite the weather, more than 200 youngsters received a student trail to follow where they were encouraged to visit stands, answer questions and take part in challenges.
