TEREX Trucks is celebrating after picking up a vice president award for outstanding achievement at the Scottish Engineering Awards.
Paul Douglas, MD of the Motherwell-based business, accepted the award at a ceremony held in Glasgow. Since becoming a division of Volvo Construction Equipment in 2014, the business has seen significant investment in its factory, products and quality processes.
The Scottish Engineering Awards honour the achievements of the manufacturing and engineering industry. The jury chose companies based on local investment and employee training, as well as the ability to be innovative.
“We are absolutely delighted to receive this award,” Paul Douglas said. “It reflects our continuous efforts in investing in our people, facility and product quality. To be recognised for this is a great accolade and it is a real motivator to continue to find innovative ways to design, build and market our products whilst investing in our team members, new apprentices and community projects.”
