TDL ramps up growth plans

The ‘new and Improved’ TA300 in a TDL customised colour will be showcased at Plantworx

TDL Equipment has announced it is investing heavily in new area managers and dedicated divisions to improve its ability to support customer requirements.

The firm, part of the Ballyvesey Group, said the investment will increase the number of product representatives covering Scotland, England and Wales, and assisted with the restructuring of the sales division.

As a result, there are now brand specialists dedicated to two new divisions – construction and material handling. Both divisions have a number of representatives to focus on the brands and models specific to each industry and applications.

Three new area sales managers have been appointed for the south of England and Wales, while a new area sales manager for the north and dedicated articulated hauler specialist will follow.

TDL added that the recent expansion and investment reflects Sany’s plans to ‘significantly increase’ sales in Europe. Last year Sany experienced a 95% increase in export sales with over 46,000 excavators produced. With European headquarters in Germany, ‘many’ new products are said to be planned for release over the next two years.

Elsewhere in the TDL portfolio, the Terex Trucks range of articulated haulers have benefited from a number of upgrades. TDL will showcase the ‘new and improved’ TA300 at Plantworx.

TDL said the newly formed material handling division is supported by more area managers to satisfy the demand for the Atlas material handlers. Last year was a record year for TDL in terms of Atlas machine sales, and 2019 sees a continued expansion into waste applications with the 160 MH and 250 MH models. Other brands include Genie and Mecalac.
