Award-winning machines set for Plantworx

WACKER Neuson has revealed the main attractions on its Plantworx stand this year will be  the award-winning DW15e electric wheel dumper and the Dual View dumpers.

The manufacturer will also be displaying the complete zero emission line as well as the new three ton dumper DW30.

“We are very proud that both our new electric wheel dumper DW15e as well as our Dual View dumpers won the Plantworx Innovation Award”, said Richard Harrison, MD Wacker Neuson UK. “We are very happy about this acknowledgement. We have received very positive feedback and a strong demand for these solutions from the market. The Plantworx Innovation Award additionally underlines that we are heading into the right direction. We are looking forward to presenting our innovations to a professional audience at the fair.”

The DW15e has four-wheel drive and a payload of up to 1.5 tons. The dumper is equipped with two electric motors, one for the drive system and one for the work hydraulics, in order to ‘appropriately and independently’ take on output as needed and reduce energy consumption.

When braking the machine or driving downhill, the energy is fed back into the battery and used for charging purposes rather than converted into heat.

The Plantworx Gold award for Safety Innovation went to the Wacker Neuson Dual View dumpers. While dumping, operators look in the direction of the skip and, before driving off, they can turn the seat 180 degrees, resulting in unrestricted visibility in the direction of travel. The operator always has the full visibility of the working area.

The fully electric mini excavator EZ17e will also be in attendance. The machine can run entirely on its battery or be operated while connected to the mains. Wacker Neuson said this makes it the ‘ideal solution’ for sites where emissions and noise have to be kept to a minimum.
