DOOSAN has revealed it is introducing new Stage V versions of its DX62R-3 and DX63-3 6-tonne and DX85R-3 8-tonne mini-excavators.
The new DX85R-3 reduced tail swing digger is powered by a Yanmar 4TNV98C common rail direct injection diesel engine. It meets Stage V regulations via the use of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and diesel particulate filter (DPF) after-treatment technologies.
The updated versions of the DX62R-3 RTS and DX63-3 models are powered by the same Yanmar 4TNV98C diesel engine, which Doosan said provides a 22% increase in engine power compared with the previous generation models.
A further feature of the 6-tonne excavators is the hydraulic system, described as incorporating a load sensing system which the manufacturer added provides for “smooth and efficient” combined operations. The bucket digging force is 4.4-tonne while the arm digging force is 2.9-tonne. This is combined with a longer arm. Bucket digging force of the DX85R-3 is 6.3-tonne.
All three new machines boast a “high capacity” heating and air conditioning system as standard, with adjustable vents installed at both the front and rear of the operator’s seat. The cab interior features a foot rest area and additional cup holder. The position and angle of the seat cushion, as well as the position of the consoles, can be adjusted, while a seat heater is optional.
A colour 5.7 inch LCD monitor allows operators to control auxiliary flow and monitor functions such as service periods. A control panel offers information on the status of the machine. Standard safety features include lock valves on the arm and the boom cylinders and an overload warning device.
