A-Plant scoops international access prize

A-PLANT has fought off international competition to win the Access Rental Company of the Year prize at the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA).

Organised by Access International and IPAF, the annual awards ceremony was held in Dubai. A-Plant explained that, just to be nominated, the firm had to demonstrate “exceptional financial performance, innovation, training, marketing of access rental services, customer service and raising awareness of safety”.

Ian Jordan, managing director of A-Plant’s general equipment division said, “2018 was an exceptional year for A-Plant and we are thrilled that all of our hard work has been recognised at one of the industry’s most prestigious awards. Over the past 12 months A-Plant has experienced phenomenal growth and the company’s powered access fleet has increased to over 4,500 machines.

“Furthermore, this year A-Plant instructors have delivered working at height training to over 2,000 customers, both at A-Plant Training Centres of Excellence and customer sites. We are also proud to have developed and launched a new fleet management system, Trackunit Access Control, to prevent unauthorised equipment usage, reduce costs, drive efficiency and improve safety across multiple sites.”
