MOLSON Group has revealed it has been awarded SafeContractor accreditation. The equipment dealer said the firm’s “rapid growth” over the past year has seen underlined by investment in the internal infrastructure of the group ranging from IT systems through to health and safety processes.
The SafeContractor scheme is a SSIP-approved assessment scheme for contractors wanting to demonstrate that they’re taking responsibility for their health and safety requirements seriously. The scheme currently has over 30,000 active members.
The application process was managed by Molson Group health and safety manager James Smith. He said, “We are all delighted to be awarded with the SafeContractor accreditation. Although we have had the processes and policies in place for some time, this accreditation makes it clear to our customers, suppliers and staff that we take health and safety seriously.
“Our constant drive for improvement means that we will continue to work on improving safety in the workplace, starting with the re-development of our Avonmouth HQ which is planned to start in Spring 2019.”
