MOLSON Young Plant Sales has taken the first Kobelco SK140SRLC L -5 High Walker excavator in stock in the UK.
The factory-built machine has been specifically designed and built for forestry applications. Based on the Kobelco SK140SRLC-5 compact radius excavator, this High Walker model features a custom-built undercarriage described as being suited to cope with demanding woodland conditions.
The excavator boasts a ground clearance of 585mm, uprated heavy-duty turret guard and an increased crawler length of 3,790mm. Other specification additions include a custom-built Kobelco screen guard and heavy-duty track motor guards.
Molson Young Plant Sales said the High Walker models have been popular amongst contractors specialising in forestry-based projects. The increased ground clearance enables the machine to move freely over and around hazards such as tree stumps, while the longer crawler length is said to ensures the machine has the ability to navigate the undulating Scottish Highland landscape with ease.
The Kobelco High Walker retains the same ISUZU 4-cylinder engine that powers the standard SK140SRLC-5 together with other standard features such as integrated Noise and Dust reduction system (iNDr).
