STIRLING-based plant hire and contracting company Advanced Material Processing Ltd has recently secured the exclusive dealership for Screenpod equipment in Scotland and the north of England.
Screenpod specialises in the design and manufacture of screening and recycling solutions, including air separation and dust suppression equipment. Kieran O’Kane, managing director of Advanced Material Processing, told Project Plant the dealership was a “natural progression” for the company.
The Screenpod air separation equipment is well suited to applications where wood and plastic has to be removed. Kieran explained that the dust cannons allow the company to provide a solution for the dust created on a variety of sites from quarries to wood recyclers, compost processors, waste transfer stations and construction sites, but not limited to these applications.
AMP has recently been demonstrating the cannons to its client base. “It’s absolutely hit the ground running,” Kieran said. “We’ve sold all our stock that we had ordered already.” AMP has put in an order for the rest of this year and beginning of next year – half of which is already spoken for, Kieran added. He said the Screenpod cannons use a “minimal” amount of water, which translates to savings on water charges for the customer.
AMP has also been appointed as the exclusive Scottish dealer for Trackstack conveyors, which Kieran said was “perfect” for numerous applications and would allow the company to provide its customers with a more comprehensive package. He explained that the Trackstack equipment is available for sale and will also be added to AMP’s hire fleet, to complement their existing fleet. He noted that the conveyors were being increasingly used on sites where machines can be linked together.
