Kobelco hoping for narrow advantage

A “super-narrow” 20-tonne SK210SNLC-10 excavator has been launched by Kobelco for the Alpine market.

The new model differs from the conventional SK210LC-10 via a narrower undercarriage, which brings advantages when operating in urban and mountainous areas.

The machine’s transport width is 2,540mm (reduced from 2,710mm) and has a shoe width of 500mm. To make these reductions, the right side of the excavator has been made shorter. The capacities of the tool box and Adblue tank have also been adjusted, while the engine and its exhaust gas after treatment equipment has been moved 30mm to the right hand side, resulting in a redesign of the rear right door. The boom foot area has been relocated outside the centre of the machine.

The SK210SNLC-10 is available with monoboom and two-piece boom configurations.
