GAP will be presented with a top award for health and safety at a ceremony in Glasgow in September.
The hire specialist has achieved Gold in the RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Health and Safety Awards.
The long-running scheme recognises attainment in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Allister Maxwell, GAP’s head of safety, risk and compliance said, “To receive the prestigious RoSPA Gold Award is something we are very proud of and is testament to everyone at GAP for their commitment to safety and ‘Think Safe’.
“GAP views compliance as an opportunity; we regularly review every area of our ‘safe systems of work’ to determine how we can further develop and enhance our processes and procedures.
“GAP is constantly introducing innovations, from new equipment to new working practices, to help our staff and customers achieve their goals more efficiently and sustainably.
“We are very pleased to have ‘measured up’ against the stringent RoSPA criteria.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events added, “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”
