Gordon Bow Plant Hire makes first Kubota purchase

GORDON Bow Plant Hire has completed its first Kubota purchase in the shape of ten U48-4 excavators.

The Broxburn-based hire specialist bought the 4.8 tonne machines from Young Plant Sales, Kubota UK’s longest serving dealer.

The excavators will join a fleet comprising over 200 plant items in operation across Scotland.

Graham Bow, managing director and plant manager of Gordon Bow said, “Gordon Bow is extremely excited about the value the Kubota U48-4’s are going to add to our business. We identified the excavators to be used across a wide range of sectors, including both operated and self-drive markets, such as street works and also the housebuilding market.

“With there being a rising increase in demand for Kubota machines by construction firms, many clients and operators have recognised Kubota excavators for their durability and performance, leading us to our purchasing decision. The U48-4 is a versatile machine and we believe it will be suitable for a wide range of projects and applications.

“Not only does Kubota supply market-leading machines, Young Plant also provides excellent parts and aftersales support for the products; elements that are key to our operations. The U48-4’s are a welcome addition to our fleet, and we are very much looking forward to developing a strong relationship with both Kubota and Young Plant.”

Kubota describe the U48-4 as an “advanced” machine with upgraded digging and lifting power. Richard Sayers, Kubota UK’s construction dealer manager said, “We are very excited to be working with such a well respected and established machinery specialist in Gordon Bow Plant Hire Ltd. This is just the beginning of what I’m sure will become a long and fruitful partnership.”
